Of course everyone is excited that there is no longer snow on the ground, the sun is out, and yes, its finally spring. Although the weather has made its turn, and its now just what we were all waiting for, some of us are still at a loss during this spring season.
I know personally when I first arrived here at Plymouth, I was always saying that there was nothing to do. I still sometimes sit in my room binge watching Netflix and stuffing my face. However, when our weather works in our favor, Plymouth has more things to offer than just parties in the driveway. But who doesn’t like a nice driveway party? Anyways, there are a lot of activities around Plymouth that are something to do, and can cause for a fun day.
For starters, there is the not so secret secret beach. Right on the Pemi you can float the river on your tubes and make this your destination to spend your day at however you wish. Next, the classic Rattlesnake hike. Somewhat of a decent and short hike for those woodland people unlike myself, it is a beautiful sight to see, and a great place to relax once the top is reached. If you’re feeling slightly more like getting off campus there is Livermore. Livermore is a beautiful beach right on the river with a bridge overhead. These are only some of the small and simple things to do outside now that we don’t want to run home and cry after walking from Boyde to Hyde.
There always is something to do if you are looking in the right places, or are with the right people. I know all too well how a small town can suck you into the idea of having absolutely no fun, but if you make your own, there’s no problem. And hey, if worse comes to worse you can always drink Bud Lights and sit on inner tubes in your front lawn like me.
