1. Women’s Lacrosse (last issue: I)- The Women’s Lacrosse team surrendered a three goal lead late in the second half en route to a 13-12 loss against Salem State, and lost a five goal lead to Keene State Tuesday to drop their record to 8-4. Despite the loss the team has been dominant this season: 141 goals, 50 assists, 12 goals per game and a shot percentage of 44%.
2. Baseball (Last Issue: 2)- The Baseball Team had two days of double headers winning two games against Eastern Connecticut (7-3 in game 1 and 2-1 in game 2) on Saturday but dropped their rival match Tuesday to Keene. Offense is playing a big part this season as the team has scored 158 runs and 11 home runs in just 28 games.
3. Men’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: 4)- a 14-8 victory over Salem State snapped a 2 game losing streak for the men’s lacrosse team. Currently in 4th place with a 2-1 conference record (3-7 overall), the men’s team has 86 goals in 10 games so far this season.
4. Men’s Track and Field (Last Issue: UR)- After a strong weekend at the Eric Loeschner Invitational at Fitchburg State University, the men’s track and field team saw 4 members place in the top 10. The team has their next competition on Saturday at the Sean Collier Memorial meet at MIT
Individual Athletes
1. Junior Jarek Krajewski (Cranston, RI) Baseball (Last Issue:2)- Krajewski had a huge weekend against Eastern Connecticut. Game two of the home double header, the home crowd saw two home runs of the bat of the junior, including a solo walkoff in the ninth. Bringing his season total to 24 runs, 3 home runs and 24 RBI’s. Krajewski sits behind teammate James Riley-Garnett (Newport RI) in home runs (4) and leads the team in RBI’s.
2. Freshman Isiah Bolden (Dover, NH) Track and Field (last issue: UR)- this week’s LEC Rookie track athlete of the week, Bolden recorded a pair of top-five finishes for the men’s track and field teams. He placed second in the 110-meter high hurdles with a personal-best time of 16.05 seconds, and took fifth place among 79 competitors in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.23 seconds.
3. Junior Caroline Vonachen (Framingham, MA) Women’s Lacrosse (Last Issue: UR) in a game that saw both vonachen and Sullivan score 4 goals in a 13-12 loss to Salem state, its Vonachens 38 points (31 goals, 7 assists) that are 2nd overall on the team
4. Sophomore Megan Tingley (Natick, MA) women’s lacrosse (last issue:1) Tingley had a 3-point game (1 goal, 2 assists) in Saturdays 13- 12 loss bringing her team leading point total to 45 points (20 goals, 25 assists) in just 11 games. (Power rankings as of 4/20)
