Film Review: “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”

Newt runs into a lot of bumps in the road along the way. All of these are important to the plot, and they are what makes this film magical and exciting to watch. Audiences will fall in love with the Niffler and other magical creatures from the wizarding universe, and feel the need to protect them just as Newt does.

Director David Yates has many falling in love with Newt and his friendly Bowtruckle as they adventure through New York on their way to Arizona.

Everything goes wrong once Newt's suitcase gets into the wrong hands of No-Maj (non-magical) baker Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler). Much to his dismay, Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterston) notices that something has gone awry.

After turning Newt in for being an unregistered wizard in America, and letting many creatures loose, Tina doesn’t foresee something worse to come. Auror Percival Graves (Colin Farrell), notices, and tries to target them. Worst of all, they have many creatures about in different directions wreaking ha voc, and an invisible and unpredictable creature on 5th Avenue.

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” written by J.K. Rowling and directed by David Yates, who formerly directed several of the famous Harry Potter films, brings back the magic to the cinemas in this family-friendly and heartwarming film.

“Fantastic Beasts” is especially appealing to the audience who grew up in the fantastical world J.K. Rowling created, and for those who want to relive the magic.

For those who want to enjoy a PG- 13 movie that is both family-friendly and entertaining, this film is for them. For those who aren’t interested in a film about witches, wizards and magical beasts, maybe seeing Walt Disney Animation Studio’s “Moana” would better suit their tastes.
