Super Bowl, the day where everyone throws on their favorite jersey, stu s their face with wings and screams at their televisions. Where family and friends all around the Country gather in their living rooms to enjoy some good old American Football. But being here at Plymouth during the Super bowl is whole different type of support system for one team in particular, The Patriots.
Being at a University up in New England territory makes many of us on this campus die hard Patriots fans. Where we swear on the G.O.A.T to get us through every game and pull out with a win. Being on a campus with so many fans of the same team only makes the Super bowl more fun. Kyle Cipollone a Senior here at Plymouth State says “It is awesome on Super bowl Sunday here, because most students are huge fans so a lot of people are celebrating the same team. It makes it more exciting to watch the game in that kind of atmosphere.” Being able to look out your window and see all the people wearing red, white and blue screaming “lets go Pats” just makes everyone who is a fan feel like they are apart of a great community.
Regardless of the results once the game is over, students will have so many people to lean on or high ve. Because being a Patriots fan here at Plymouth is a lifestyle, those players are basically part of the Plymouth family. John Bush III another Senior here says “Super bowl Sunday here is loud, patriotic and stressful, but I would not want to watch it anywhere else.” Whenever the Pats win, students spill out of their houses just to belly bump and hug their neighbors and friends. And even when they lose, there is always a shoulder to cry on within a two-minute walking distance. Which is what makes being a Patriots fan here at Plymouth so special, because nowhere else will you get to see such devotion to one team that covers an entire campus. It is such a great place to be on Super bowl Sunday. Although this year, we did not get the win. All Patriots fan should not hang their heads because next years’ season will be here before we know it. And once again, we will return to Title Town.
