In this week's edition of The Clock, I wanted to have a huge preview for the Men's Hockey team at Plymouth, and thought why not have :10 Seconds with perhaps the baddest dude in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC). I introduce to you 6'3", 220 lbs Zach Sarig. Not only does he bring one of the most intimidating presences on the ice, he also has the respect of the coaches within the conference to be named to the All-Conference team as a sophomore. Sarig was named an assistant captain for the team for the 2013-2014 season, and looks to help the team go further than they did last year.

1.   How long have you been playing hockey for?

I started inline at 6, the next year changed to ice hockey and 15 years later I'm still going.

2.   How does the hockey team look for the 2013-2014 season?

We have a lot of new talent and I'm really excited to see all the piece of the puzzle come together.

3. What is your most memorable moment in your hockey career?

Freshman year I was a part of the MASCAC championship team.

4. Do you have any superstitions on game-day?

Pregame nap till 250, shower, blast some music and head to the rink.

5. What was your "Welcome to hockey" moment in your career?

Getting screamed at when I was 10 years old because I wasn't skating hard enough. I cried hahah

6.If I were to look at you Ipod/ITunes/etc. what would be the five most played songs?

xx-the intro

Rick ross-body count

Mac Miller-donald trump

Rise and shine- j cole

Blow up- j cole

7.   Last year, you were the only non-senior to be named to the All MASCAC 1st team. What did this mean to you, and how do you look to keep your game at this level?

It meant a lot; being named to the same team the some of the best players to come through PSU and one of the top scorers in the nation. I just plan to do what I did last year, play strong defensively and contribute points when I can.

8.   What has led this team to being so successful since you have been at PSU?

Its not a team, it's a family. I have never been on such a close team. Everyone buys in to the betterment of the team and that's why we keep moving forward.

9.   What does it mean to you to see Hanaway Rink full for the team's home games, and how much does a full crowd pump-up the team?

Honest to god best fans in the MASCAC. That's why we are so successful at home; our fans TERRIFY other teams. There's no better feeling than coming out of the room and hearing the roar of the crowd when the Savage Center is juiced.

10.        What are your predictions for both yourself, and for the team this year?

I plan to have a good year, I just want the team to win, and whatever the team needs I'll do. The team has high expectations; we came up short last year. We know what that felt like seeing all of our seniors play their last games, we won't feel that way this year. We have everything we need to be successful.
