Get Your Zumba On
One of the most popular exercise classes at PSU is Zumba. Zumba combines hypnotic Latin rhythms and moves to create a dynamic workout program that will blow you away. Zumba allows you to want to work out, and enjoy working out all at the same time.
"It's fun way to workout and spend time with friends, and no experience is needed," said junior Yulan Millican.
Zumba lovers achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of calorie-burning, energetic, effective, easy-to-follow, dance moves.It's a fun workout and a great source of cardio,the steps are contagious, and can be downright addictive.
"I like zumba because it is a great way to de-stress with friends. the music is so loud that you literally cannot think of your homework or problems of the day," said senior Holly Parisi.
Zumba is fun for guys and girls, no matter what age; everyone can benefit from it, and have a good time. You don't have to be "in shape," this program is designed to make working out fun, and have fitness is integrated within the steps.
It can be difficult to even notice nor mind you're breaking a sweat when you're next to people that are all there to achieve the same goal, which is to have fun and get a good workout in.
"It is more about having fun than anything else and is a great stress management tool for students," said Parisi.
For those that are interested in taking a Group Exercise Class you should contact the Fitness Room Front Desk in the HUB at 603.535.2956 to reserve your spot, otherwise you should plan to arrive early to grab a walk in spot.
