Last Call for Seniors

The graduating class of 2012 (woo-hoo) has marched among the red brick walkways for four (or five) years. Most graduates are asking themselves, where did the time go and at this point it doesn't really matter. There's only one thing left to do and it's to get involved with some of the senior events, which we will never be presented with again. 

Yes, some organized senior events can be cliché and might not be on your list of things to accomplish before graduation. However don't miss out on some privileges provided by the university, faculty, and student organizations. 

Next week May 7- May 11, 2012 is senior week. Here is a list of some of the events hosted for graduating seniors.

Mon., May 7th, M n' M Scoops (old Sweet Kathy location) 12PM-8PM seniors are invited to stop by for a free ice cream cone

Tues., May 8th, Pints with PSU encourages students to invite faculty or staff to join their students at Panther Pub from 3PM-5PM or 6PM-8PM. (Register online through OrgSync)

Wed., May 9th, Trivia at Panther Pub, this is open to seniors only the pub will be closed for this event, which will run from 6PM-8PM and 9PM-11PM. free appetizers on first come first serve basis. 

Thurs., May 10th, Slices for Seniors will be held on the Mary Lyon Green from 5PM-8PM and will include music, fun, and field games.

Fri., May 11th the Senior Semi will be held at the Common Man in Plymouth from 6PM-11PM. (Students and guests must be 21+)

PSU invites graduates, friends, and families to celebrate your academic success at the graduation commencement of 2012 on May 19th. The outdoor ceremony will be held at the Currier Field at the Physical Education Center. The ceremony will feature doctoral students, postmaster's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies, master's, and bachelor degree students with an anticipated 1,000 graduates total. The commencement will begin at approximately 9:45 AM. and is scheduled to end around 12:15 PM. 

In the event of showers, the commencement will be moved inside. Graduates should check their inclement weather tickets for alternative commencement locations according to their majors. The locations are as follows:

*Social Science 

 

The commencement will also be streamlined from the following locations for alternative viewing.

-The PE Center ceremony can be viewed in Hanaway Theatre 

-Ice Arena/Welcome Center ceremony can be viewed in Smith Recital Hall

-Hartman Union Building ceremony can be viewed in the HUB Hage Room.
