The road warriors are looking to avenge last year’s Semi-Finals loss with a strong start to the regular season. “We really think that this is the year that we can make it to the championship” said Nick Morello (North Billerica, Mass) a senior captain for the 2015 PSU Men’s Lacrosse team.

After going to the Semi-Finals over the past three years, losing to Keene State each time, the Men’s Lacrosse team is hungry to meet them again, and show them what hard work and dedication can do. Even though they lost some big contributors to their team from last year, like Chris Annunciata who scored a team high 43 goals, Scott Giusti who won 118-209 face-offs, and their starting goalie Jesse Kutz, this team believes that with their strong senior leadership, and younger guys stepping up they can be better than last year.

“Everyone knows their role really, no one’s out of place, or trying to act in the character they shouldn’t have” Senior Captain Nick Allard (Norwich, Conn) says. “We need to be able to stick together and hopefully we can use that team aspect to focus on winning the close games”.

A huge disadvantage that the Men’s lacrosse team has, is the fact that they only have three home games this year. In the future, the AllNorth project will give them a home field to be proud of, but since construction is still underway, the team has to travel to New Hampton School, in New Hampton, NH for their “home” games. The team shows no fear, though, taking the name Road Warriors to heart understanding that each trip they have a job to do, and the mental aspect of traveling is harped on daily by Coach Webb.

With a large senior class, this year’s PSU Men’s lacrosse team is looking to capitalize on its leadership, talent, and hard work to make it through their bracket, and on to the championship game. Being ranked 5^th in the LEC gives the team the fire they need to take their underdog status and erase it.

“They have a rude awaking” is the response Nick Allard gave when being 5^th in the LEC came up. This confidence is shared by the other players, and with confidence comes success.

The team started off the regular season fast with a 10-4 win over Emmanuel, and their first home game is Saturday April 11, Vs Salem State.
