Spring Fling Committee Secures Headliner
Mac Miller to Preform at Spring Fling on May 5th
After what Spring Fling President Donal Magrane has called "a grueling contract process," this year's artist has been secured. And no, it's not Nickelback.
Mac Miller has been determined as the entertainment for this year's Spring Fling concert, to be held May 5, 2012. Magrane and the Spring Fling Committee signed the contract with Mac's people on Wed., Apr. 4.
Plymouth State University will be one of the final stops on Mac's Macadelic Tour before he takes off for a stint in Europe.
Support for Mac at PSU was unprecedented, according to Magrane, who said that "this year's artist won the vote with over 200 more votes than any other name on our list."
"We had an amazing turn out this year during our voting process, having more students participate than in any other student poll in Plymouth history," said Magrane.
With such an overwhelming margin, Magrane and the Spring Fling Committee expect that the student body will be pleased with this year's entertainment.
Any questions about the voting process or Spring Fling in general can be directed to Donal Magrane at dmagrane@plymouth.edu. Look to The Clock for future Spring Fling updates including information on ticket sales, and concert etiquette.
The Clock would like to thank the Spring Fling Committee for their continued hard work and dedication as they strive to make Spring Fling 2012 one to remember.
