7. Football: The football team is currently 2-6 with two away games left. They look to at least get a few more wins before the season is over. Taking a look at some individual student athlete performances:

1. Freshman Sam Brunnette (Newport, VT) Men’s Cross Country (Last Issue: 2): Brunnette was selected as LEC Rookie of the Week for a third time. He
also finished fifth overall at the LEC Championships with a 26:39.03 giving the Panthers the best result at the championship they’ve had since joining conference.

2. Senior Petro Masumbuko (Manchester, NH) Men’s Soccer (Last Issue: UR): Masumbuko was a real force in the Panthers last games, scoring two goals including one in overtime against UMASS Boston to notch the win. He was named LEC Offensive Player of the Week.

3. Junior Dani Tabor (Olympia, WA) Women’s Volleyball (Last Issue: UR): Tabor has been an offensive juggernaut this year for the Panthers. Tabor has averaged 3.07 kills per set and has a .323 attacking percentage. Not only did she have 18 kills in a crucial win over Eastern Connecticut, but she was also named LEC Women’s Volleyball Offensive Player of the Year.

4. Junior Felix Lindeberg (Stockholm, Sweden) Men’s Soccer (Last Issue: UR): Lindeberg made nine saves in a crucial game against UMASS Boston, and added a fourth shutout to his resume this season. In conference he has a .835 save percentage as well as a goals against average of .97. Unsurprisingly he was named LEC Goalkeeper of the Week

5. Junior Nicole Burgess (Mexico, ME) Field Hockey: Burgess ended the season leading the Panthers in goals with thirteen on the year and was really the offensive catalyst for the team this season.

Honorable Mention- Arielle Beaulieu, Field Hockey: Arielle is perhaps the strongest of all Panther athletes. At the young age of two, she was diagnosed with a brain tumor, and after a few surgeries it has been completely removed and she has been to almost every home field hockey game this season as an honorary player.
