Plymouth State Swimming and Diving lost a close contest to Colby Sawyer last
week 122-116. Despite the loss Senior Emily Wadlinger (Leba- non, N.H.) won three events, the 50-yard breaststroke, the 100-yard backstroke and was the opening leg of the 200-yard medley that Plymouth would end up winning. Sophomore Casey Allaire (Mattapoisett, MA) also won both the 1-meter and 3-meter dive.
Plymouth State Wrestling was
victorious in their opening bout against New England College 33-17. Plymouth would get three straight pins from Senior Justin Montgomery (Natick, MA), as well as freshmen Dylan Da Silva (Bayville, N.J.) and Antonio Difronzo (Melrose, MA). Three more victories from sophomores Tom Pagliarulo (Haverhill, MA) Steve Abusherry (North Attleboro, MA) and senior Nick Simeti (Pearl River, NY) sealed the deal for the Panthers.
Wrestling will be back in action this Saturday afternoon at Springfield College for the Doug Parker Invitational while the Swim and Dive team will host a tri-meet this Saturday against Western and Eastern Connecticut.
